No Parking on Bryn Mawr and Ravenswood for CPD Funeral Procession on Monday 4/29

Please pass this along so we can all plan accordingly! CPD has just informed the 40th ward of the funeral processional for Officer Huesca this coming Monday, April 29th — there will be no parking along the processional route. The processional will be coming from Lakeshore Drive on Monday afternoon, and will progress down Bryn Mawr, and then onto Ravenswood to get to Rosehill Cemetery. You can see a route of the map below:

Alder Vasquez’s office was just informed by the 20th District Commander that any cars parked along this route on Monday afternoon will be towed to the Foster Ave and Wilson Beach parking lot. 

If you usually park along this route, please make sure that you move your car by Monday morning, otherwise you may be towed. We apologize for the last minute notice, and will be working to canvass neighbors this weekend to make sure everyone is aware!

In addition to the parking restrictions, construction on the Peterson/Ridge Metra station will stop work early to accommodate the processional. There will also likely be traffic backups and delays on Peterson Ave while the processional is happening.
