Redefine the Drive Community Meetings August 6-8

The Illinois and Chicago Departments of Transportation are looking at redesigning North Lake Shore Drive, and this week they are holding several meetings seeking community input on the current use of LSD and how to improve it. The DoTs believe parts of LSD are reaching the end of their useful lives and parts are strained by heavy use.

According to information circulated by State Senator Heather Steans, "task forces will be established to facilitate discussion and generate options with public hearing scheduled regularly. The goal is to select a final plan by 2016."
